Baby Product Review

The best new product I got for my second baby is the Fisher Price Newborn Rock ‘n Play Sleeper.  It’s fabulous and I’ve been telling all my pregnant friends (and there’s a lot of them) about it.

Fisher Price Newborn Rock 'n Play Sleeper

We love it at our house because it’s something that is approved for baby to sleep in yet is portable.  Our daughter Alice has been sleeping like a champ in it.  The bed itself is inclined so helps with that frustrating newborn gas, it’s lightweight and folds up for easy transport (thank goodness!), has a machine washable cover, and can be rocked for those middle of the night almost-wakeups.  When our two year old was a newborn, she loved her bouncy chair, but it wasn’t approved for sleeping.  We had a Moses basket for her to sleep in the first few months but that gas kept her from sleeping well in it and it wasn’t easily portable-it took up a sizable chunk of the trunk.  This is a great way to go- you won’t have to get an expensive bassinet and the sleeper can be in whatever room you’re in.  I also like this one because it’s high enough off the ground to keep some pets at a distance and keep the flailing legs and toys of other kids from their little bodies.  There’s a variety of patterns to pick from and we got ours for just over $50.  So if you know someone who’s expecting, tell them to register for this-they won’t regret it!

Love it too! Getty slept in his exclusively for the first 4 months. Wish they had this when Finn was born. Both boys had reflux and with Getty it was a lifesaver! Thank you Fisher Price!!
